Sergio De Luca is an accomplished Los Angeles-based Steadicam and Camera Operator with over 25 years of experience in cinematography. He is well-versed in the utilization of cutting-edge equipment to ensure superior quality visuals and reliable production operations. Sergio holds a keen sensibility towards detail, along with an extensive technical knowledge capable of operating and managing camera and Steadicam equipment, techno cranes, and arial shoots. He has a profound comprehension of how to capture the ideal image and utilize camera movements most suitable for each production.

Originally from Italy, Sergio was captivated by the idea of filmmaking at an early age, after being exposed to cinematic works like E.T., The Goonies, and The NeverEnding Story. After working on small film projects, he went on to study steadicam and camera operating at Istituto di Istruzione Superiore Statale Roberto Rossellini, gaining proficiency in bulkcam operation and the use of Panavision equipment. 

Sergio's career path began as a Loader, was then promoted to Second Assistant Camera, and eventually gained the position of Focus Puller, before finally becoming a Camera Operator.  His pivotal moment came when he worked on the TV show, "Rome," where he purchased his first Steadicam. At 30, he moved to Los Angeles and began working on feature films, music videos, and commercials for prominent artists and world renowned brands. His most recent projects include working on "Wise Guys,” directed by Barry Levinson / Director of Photography, Dante Spinotti, as well "Old Guard 2,” directed by Victoria Mahoney / Director of Photography, Barry Ackroyd.
